Who is bear ley?
Bear Ley is an outlet for self expression by lifelong musician Louis Rubino. Soulful sounds and somber messages transport his audience into a deep outer space, filled by his echoing voice and beautiful guitar arrangements. Rubino released his first album in May of 2021, titled "The Backpacker", drawing inspiration by comparing life experience to backpacking through southern Appalachian mountains . This collection of raw, indie folk-esque songs tie together themes of heartbreak, exploration, and the great outdoors. After leaving the Carolinas, Rubino moved to Nashville to live and work in the music industry for 3 years. During this time he released a 3 song EP titled "Songs In Between", which portrays Rubino struggling with the transitional stages of life during which one's true values are determined. His latest release from May of 2026, a single titled "The Badlands", is inspired by a trip through Badlands National Park. His next release is a two song EP titled "Bread with Death and Home" set to release July 17th 2026. CURRENTLY BASED IN PORTLAND, OREGON
